The Somnath temple, also called Somanātha temple or Deo Patan, is a Hindu temple located in Prabhas Patan, Veraval in Gujarat, India. It is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is believed to be first among the twelve jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva.
Gir Forest National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes. Gir Jungle Trail, outside the fenced area, traverses deciduous forest and is home to wildlife including vultures and pythons. The Kamleshwar Dam has marsh crocodiles and birds, such as Indian skimmers and pelicans.
Day Wise Itinerary:
Day-1: Jamnagar – Dwarka
Pick up from Jamnagar airport, visit to Bala Hanuman & Lakhota Talav in Jamnagar. After lunch, Proceed to Dwarka (130 km / 3 hours). Check in to hotel and refreshments. In evening, visit Dwarkadish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna (Evening Aarti). Back to hotel, dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Dwarka.
Day-2: Dwarka (Local & nearby sightseeing)
After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing tour of Dwarka (covering Dwarka Beach, Rukmini Devi Temple, Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple, Dwarka Lighthouse, Sudama Setu, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir & Shri Nageshwar Mahadev Temple). Visit Shivrajpur beach if time remains. Back to hotel, Dinner and overight stay at hotel in Dwarka
Day-3: Dwarka to Somnath
After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Somnath (233 kms / 4 hours). Check in to hotel and refreshments. In evening, visit Somnath Temple. Back to hotel, dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Somnath.
Day-4: Somnath - Gir
After breakfast check out from hotel. Visit Somnath beach, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Prabhas Patan Museum, Triveni Sangam, Panch Pandav Gufa temple. Proceed to Sasan Gir (70 km / 1 hour). Check in at hotel and relax in lap of nature in Jungles. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Gir.
Day-5: Gir
After breakfast, visit The Gir Forests - the largest compact tract of dry deciduous forests in the semi-arid western part of India is the last abode of the big and regal predator, Asiatic lion (Panthera leo persica), an endangered animal species. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Gir.
Day-6: Departure
After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Diu (90 km / 2 hours). Visit famous Nagoa beach, Diu Fort, Naida caves, Gangeshwar Temple, etc. After lunch drop to Airport for catching flight to Mumbai.
